Today’s guest, Gary Rogers,
exemplifies one who is “older but not old”. I met Gary at an online
networking event about a year ago. I was so struck by his energy
and vitality, that I took him up on his offer of a free master
class on presentation skills. It was only much later that I
learned Gary’s chronological age, and realized that he is the
epitome of one who is Growing Older, but Living
Younger.
Gary
Rogers is the
founder and CEO of CompanyFlix, an international Communications
company. He has been a professional speaker and an executive in the
television production/motion picture industry for over 5 decades.
He has produced TV commercials, Infomercials and Corporate Videos
for many of the world’s largest Corporations, Including; AT&T,
Motorola, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Proctor & Gamble, Toshiba, Toyota,
Honeywell, Blue Cross, Siemens and Coca-Cola. A former Training
Manager with 3M Company, Gary started teaching Public Speaking and
Presentation Skills 50 years ago. In his production career he has
had the opportunity to direct many Hollywood stars, including
Academy Award-winning actor, Charlton Heston. Using revolutionary
new video technology, Gary continues to provide exceptional Public
Speaking and Presentation Skills training and his teaching and
training is second to none.
Our
conversation ranges from how Gary’s transition from a top salesman
to training others how to sell, ultimately led to his career as a
speaker/producer/director, and now to his current passion for
helping others succeed at presentation skills and sales. Although
many of his current students are seniors, Gary does not see that
they have any more challenges with developing their speaking skills
than other age cohorts. Working with students of all ages, keeps
Gary living young!
